Pharos Community

As well as providing courses, one of the aims of Pharos is to build a community of like-minded family historians. We hope that you will want to join in.

If you are new to Pharos you can get to know us and get help with your family history questions by taking part in on our Visitors’ Open Forum.  This is your chance to get help from professional genealogists.

If you are a student, stay in touch after your course ends using one or more of the Masters’ Forums.

For everyone, there is our e-newsletter, the Pharos Bulletin. It brings you news, tips and announcements.

Forums

Click here to download a help file to show you how to use our forums.

There are forums for everyone, visitors, students and those who have completed courses. All of them are free. Pharos Forums exist for you, to make you feel welcome and to offer help when you need it.  We want to help you find your ancestors.

If you are new to Pharos and would like to get to know us, please spend some time at the Visitors’ Open Forum, which is open to all. Registration is easy – just click on this link. The password is "family".

Course Forums are actively moderated by our instructors and are built into how we deliver help and advice to students. Once a course comes to an end we encourage students to use one of our Masters’ Forums to stay in touch and join us in sharing genealogical news and advice. Click on this link. The password is family

Both Course and Masters forums have limited access, offering the security of password protection.  Be sure to let us know if you should belong to one of these groups and have not received your password. You can email us now at info@pharostutors.com.

Pharos Bulletin – Our e-Newsletter

The Pharos Bulletin is an irregular newsletter which we distribute three or four times a year.

It is concise and practical, bringing you information about new courses, special discounts (some only for Bulletin readers), research tips and genealogy news. If you are not already receiving this, sign up now.
