How Payment Works

These are the most common questions we receive regarding payment for courses at Pharos. If any questions or concerns remain after reading this use the About link at the top to communicate with us.


Where can I find information about your prices?

How can I pay?

Making a payment is easy and secure. We accept all major credit cards and use WorldPay to process credit card payments

Go to the courses page and simply click on the shopping trolley next to the course you wish to take and proceed to checkout.


I don’t like to use my credit card online; can I pay by cheque?

Our system is secure for online transactions, however if you do want to pay by sterling cheque you can do so. Simply send your cheque together with details of the course you would like to take and your email address to

Please make the cheque payable to "Pharos Teaching & Tutoring  Limited".  If you pay by cheque please post it at least 10 days before the start of a course


Are there any other methods of payment?

In some circumstances we can arrange to take your Visa or Mastercard credit card details over the phone.  Please contact us here if you have difficulty with WorldPay and are not able to send a sterling cheque.


Can I pay in US/Canadian/Australian/New Zealand dollars?

If you pay by credit card on WorldPay the transaction is automatically converted to your home currency and both numbers appear on your statement, the cost in pounds and the charge in your currency. We are a UK registered company with a UK bank account; at present we do not have accounts in other currencies.


How Do I Find Out Exchange Rates?

Exchange rates between sterling and other currencies change constantly, you can find out the current rate by using this link.


I want to cancel - how do I get a refund?

You have the right to cancel within 7 days of making a payment and receive a full refund, in which case your payment will be returned in full. If you want do so, you must email info@pharostutors.com with your request for a refund. If for some reason, illness, etc, you find you cannot take part in a course for which you have paid in advance, please contact us.
